Moving boxes weight
Have you started packing already? Then you should pay attention to some things, such as the weight of the box. Because successful and problem-free packing is an art in itself. The better informed you are, the more enjoyable the entire step will be!
As a general rule, a fully packed moving box should not weigh more than 25 kg.
This figure is intended as a reference point to prevent the box from breaking. It’s always better to order an extra box than to mop everything off the floor later. Boxes may be damaged, but you should check the total weight of the boxes beforehand.
When stacking, try to distribute heavy items as evenly as possible among the different boxes. This way you can avoid crushing your items.
Pro Tip:
3,2,1, packing? Then don’t throw everything in the box. Take the time to separate the lighter items from the heavier items and place the heaviest items at the bottom of the box. For example, when packing crockery, place plates on the bottom and smaller cups on top. This keeps everything intact and undamaged. Also ensure that you keep the handles of the moving boxes free while stacking so that our professionals can load everything into the vehicles without any problem.

How many moving boxes do I need in Berlin?
How many moving boxes you need depends on various factors:
On average, you need about 10-15 boxes per room. For a 2-room apartment, this will be 40-60 boxes. For a family apartment, it is best to count on 60-80 boxes. You will need more boxes for some rooms like the kitchen. Do you have a large collection of books? You will then need approximately 1 to 2 boxes per meter of bookshelf. Here too, good preparation is half the battle. Plan well in advance, make notes and inventory, and decide in advance what you want to take with you and what you would like to give away or dispose of.

The buy-back price is €0.50 per box and €5.50 for the cloth box. This means that if you no longer need the boxes and want to return them, we will give you a small refund per box. Of course, the used boxes are still in very good condition. If you opt for used versions, you are also indirectly supporting the environment and the recycling process.
But don’t forget that you’ll also need packing foil, silk, and adhesive tape. You should use enough material, especially for delicate items. Attached you will find current prices of other packaging materials:

- Packing silk: €3.50 per kg
